Albert L. Wells, 92, of Harbor Springs, died April 23, 2003, at his home.
He was born July 19, 1910, in Petoskey, the son of Albert and Julia (Melching) Wells. He attended Harbor Springs schools and graduated in 1928. He attended Tri-State University in Angola, Ind., and graduated with a degree in civil engineering.
On June 12, 1937, he married the former Dehra Hoover in Harbor Springs, where they made their home. The couple co-owned and operated Hoover Flower Shop until their retirement in 1975. They spent many of their winters in Florida. Dehra preceded him in death in 1992.
Albert enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and working in his own vegetable garden.
Petoskey News-Review, Thursday, 15 May 2003:
A graveside memorial service for Albert and Dehra Wells of Harbor Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Lakeview Cemetery in Harbor Springs.
Albert Wells died April 23, 2003, and his wife, Dehra, preceded him in death in 1992.
