Petoskey News-Review, Tuesday, September 20, 1988
Barbara J. Bodzick, 39, of Levering, died Sept. 19, 1988, at Little Traverse Division, Northern Michigan Hospitals.
Mass of the resurrection will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at St. Clements Catholic Church, Pellston. The Rev. Sylvester Micek, OFM, will officiate and burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lark's Lake.
Barbara Bodzick was born May 14, 1949, in Petoskey, the daughter of Stanley and Stasia Bodzick. She attended and graduated from Pellston High School and graduated from Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City where she received a licensed practical nursing degree. She had been employed in the internal medicine department at Burns Clinic in Petoskey for several years.
She is survived by: her parents, Stanley and Stasia (Skoczlas) Bodzick of Levering; three sisters, Mrs. George (Theresa) Mason of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Jerry (Patricia) Hagerman of Mt. Clemens, Mrs. Thomas (Kathy) Hungerford of Indian River; three brothers, Stanley T. of Berkley, Donald of Levering and Joseph of Brutus. She is also survived by six nephews and two nieces.
The family suggests memorials to the St. Clemens Altar Society or the Hospice of Petoskey. Envelopes for those purposes and also mass cards, will be available at the Schiller Funeral Chapel in Pellston where friends may call 3-9 p.m. Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
