Petoskey News Review, Tuesday, 5 Oct 1971:
Services for Mrs. Etta (Lugibihl) Burdick, 80, who died yesterday at Lockwood-MacDonald Hospital after a week’s illness, will be held at the Gillian-Erwin Funeral Chapel in Harbor Springs at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Rev. Phillip Brown, of the Harbor Springs United Methodist Church, will officiate and interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
She was born Etta Lugibihl July 9, 1891 in Ohio and came to Harbor Springs as a small girl. She lived in Harbor Springs all her life.
On March 26, 1910 she married Fred Burdick and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1960. He died April 7, 1963.
Survivors include two sons, Edward, of Harbor Springs and Gordon of Stillwater, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Mervin (Louise) Niswander, of Harbor Springs, Mrs. Horace (Veda) Tippett, of Harbor Springs, with whom Mrs. Burdick had been making her home and Mrs. George (Louella) Kapenkoskey of Petoskey; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one brother, Everett Lugibihl, of Harbor Springs.
