Betty Cease, 71, of Petoskey, died June 6, 1994, at Northern Michigan Hospital.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Schiller Funeral Chapel of Harbor Springs. The Rev. Terry Bennett will officiate. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Harbor Springs.
She was born June 21, 1922, in Harbor Springs, the daughter of Lewis and Elnor (Slocum) Robinson. She attended Harbor Springs schools.
On June 29, 1938, she married Laurence "Bud" Cease in Petoskey, and they made their home in the area for many years.
In 1983, they moved to Petoskey.
Mr. Cease preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Cease was a member of the Stutsmanville Chapel. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald and his wife, Becky, of Mount Morris, and Randall of Harbor Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Alton (Katherine) Radle of Charlevoix, and Mrs. Vicki McCoy of Petoskey; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sister, Mrs. Frank (Audrey) Jabolinski of Rochester, and Mrs. Joann Thompson of Stuart, Fla.; four brothers, Robert Robinson of Boston, Sandy Robinson of Boyne City, and Dorman and Dale Robinson, both of Petoskey. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cease was preceded in death by a son, David Cease.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Schiller Funeral Chapel of Harbor Springs.
