Bridget was born to Michael Jennings and Bridget Donaghy on August 18, 1831 in County Kerry, Ireland. .

On, August 7, 1848, she married James O'Connor west of Montreal.
In 1854, Bridget and her husband moved to the area of New Lisbon, Wisconsin and spent nineteen years living there.
They were parents to eleven children.
Then, the family eventually settled in Union County, Dakota Territory in 1873.
She was preceeded in death by her husband and two children.
Bridget was buried at St. Joseph Cemetery at Emmet, Union County, South Dakota.
