Catherine Louise Heynig was born 14 March 1910 in Springvale, Emmet, Michigan.

She was the society editor for the Emmet County Graphic for many years and was employed by the Wequetonsing Association office the summer of her marriage.
She married Melvin Earl Howse on 24 October 1936 in Harbor Springs, Emmet, Michigan.
Their children are Helen Louise Howse, Carol Sue Howse and Dr. Gerald Max Howse.
She was baptized into the Olivet Baptist Church in Lansing, Michigan on March 18, 1952.
Louise died 22 April 2000 in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan. She is buried at Deepdale Memorial Park in Lansing.
