Petoskey News-Review, Monday, 30 November, 1970
Services for Chester D. Martindale, 67, formerly of Harbor Springs and now of Saginaw, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Case Chapel, 409 Adams-st., Saginaw. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Cemetery, Harbor Springs. Mr. Martindale died Sunday morning at St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw.
He was born in Harbor Springs September 21, 1903 and graduated from Harbor Springs High School. He attended Western Michigan University and graduated from the Ferris State College School of Pharmacy.
He married Leona Hill in 1931 and they resided in Saginaw.
Mr. Martindale managed Muirs Drug Store in Saginaw for many years and for 29 years was sales representative for Upjohn Company.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James (Sally) Perry, of Oak Park, Mich.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Martindale, of Harbor Springs and Ula Martindale, of Midland.
