C. Barker Rites Tuesday

Mrs. Christina Barker, 83, died yesterday at Little Traverse Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stone Funeral Home. Rev. Clayton Eby of the Trinity Missionary Church and Capt. Stan Magoon of the Salvation Army will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born Christina Jewell April 6, 1890 in Cheboygan county and attended Cheboygan county schools. On February 20, 1908 she married Marion Barker in Mackinaw City and they made their home there until 1923 when they moved to Petoskey where she had resided since. Mr. Barker preceded her in death May 14, 1964.

Mrs. Barker was a member of the Trinity Missionary Church and the church circle; the Home League and Golden Agers Club, both of the Salvation Army.

Survivors include three sons, Harry, at home, Norman, of Petoskey and Rodney, also at home; one daughter, Mrs. Garfield (Geneieve) Russell, of Charlevoix; eight grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and a brother, Louis Jewell of Topinabee.

Friends may call at the Stone Funeral Home beginning at 7 p.m. this evening.
