Clifford D. Hoover, 79, died Jan 30, 1986, at his Harbor Springs home, following a long illness.
Mr. Hoover was a lifelong resident of Harbor Springs. He was born in Harbor Springs on Dec. 23, 1906, the son of Henry and Lena (Lugibihl) Hoover. He attended Harbor Springs schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Hoover married the former Loretta Boynton on June 27, 1928, in Harbor Springs.
He was a member of American Legion, Smith Hoover Post in Harbor Springs.
Survivors include: his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Haven of Harbor Springs, Mrs. William (Helen) Jeffries of Lansing and Mrs. William (Sandra Jean) Kalchik of Petoskey; one sister, Mrs. Ivan (Mildred) Davis of Harbor Springs; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
There will be no service or visitation at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were handled by Park-Winchester-Hallead Funeral Home.
