Petoskey News-Review, Monday, November 27, 1978:
HARBOR SPRINGS -- Funeral services for Earl Moser, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gilliam-Erwin Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Milton ten Have of the Harbor Springs United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Harbor Springs.
Mr. Moser died unexpectedly at Lockwood-McDonald Division of Northern Michigan Hospitals Sunday evening.
Born Sept. 12, 1892, in Petoskey, Mr. Moser was married Oct. 16, 1926 to Mamie Grossman of Petoskey. He served in France with the U.S. Army in World War I and he belonged to the Emmet Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2051.
At the time of his death he was the owner and operator of the Earl Moser Feed Store in Conway.
Surviving are: his wife, Mamie, two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Betty) Nardo of Lansing and Mrs. Gilbert (Shirley) Barnes of Upsilanti; two sisters, Mrs. Allen (Pearl) Purchis of Lansing and Minerva Gardner of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Wayne of Petoskey; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Gillian-Erwin Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Springs United Methodist Church.
