Everett C. Lugibihl, 87, of Harbor Springs, died Dec. 1, 1991, at his Harbor Springs home.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Schiller Funeral Chapel, Harbor Springs. The Rev. Edward Warner will officiate and burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Harbor Springs.
Mr. Lugibihl was born May 22, 1904, in Harbor Springs, the son of Christopher and Ida (Hoover) Lugibihl. He attended the Warner School and Harbor Springs public schools.
He was employed by the city of Harbor Springs street department and retired in 1966 as the parks superintendent, a position he held for many years.
He married the former Grace Edith Hunt in Alanson. They made their home in Harbor Springs and she preceded him in death in 1985. He was also preceded in death by a stepson.
Mr. Lugibihl was a life member of the West Traverse Township Grange.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Velma Goodwin of Morriston, Fla., three sons, the Rev. Jim Lugibihl of Charlevoix, Robert Lugibihl of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Thomas Lugibihl of South Bend, Wash.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; five stepchildren, Eugene Riggins of Kalamazoo, Fred Riggins of Rockford, Mrs. Arnold (Grace) Allen of Otisville, Mrs. Willis (Beulah) Scott of Cedar Springs and Mrs. Dale (Frieda) Hoffman of Pellston.
The family suggests memorials to the Emmet County Deputies Association, c/o Emmet County Sheriff's Department. Envelopes for that purpose are available at the Schiller Funeral Chapel where friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3.
