Petoskey News-Review, Friday, 1 June 1990:
Frank Fettig, 90, died May 31, 1990, at his Bear Creek Township residence.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Petoskey. The Rev. Wilbert Hegener will officiate and burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
Mr. Fettig was born Dec. 16, 1899, in Petoskey, the son of Julius and Elizabeth (Webber) Fettig.
He grew up in Petoskey and attended St. Francis School. Mr. Fettig has resided in the area all his life.
In January, 1927, he married the former Frances Sobleskey in Petoskey.
Mr. Fettig owned and operated his own dairy farm for many years.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, the Emmet County Farm Bureau and Michigan Milk Producers Association.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Joanne) Cornell of Boyne City, Gertrude Strobel, Marlene Zokas and Bobbie Fettig, all of Petoskey and Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Green of Boyne Falls; seven sons, Claude, Gerald, Eugene, Thomas, David, Richard and Norbert, all of Petoskey; 38 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Josephine O. Fettig of Petoskey, Tillie Junemann of Saginaw and Christine Quinlan of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Walter of Saginaw, Raymond and Leon, both of Petoskey; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mayme Steffel and two brothers, Joseph and Edward Fettig.
The family suggests memorials to St. Francis School Endowment. Envelopes for that purpose are available at the Stone Funeral Home where friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, June 3. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
