Fred Daly
Rites Thursday

Fred E. Daly. 71, of Muskegon Heights, formerly of Petoskey, died this morning at Hackley Hospital, in Muskegon. A Requiem Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, in Muskegon Heights Thursday at 9 a.m. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Petoskey. Arrangemants are handled by Walburn Funeral Home, in Muskegon.

Mr. Daly was born in Petoskey June 13, 1896 and attended Petoskey schools. He married Laura Gibson in Petoskey September 17, 1924 and they lived here until they moved to Muskegon 25 years ago.

Mr. Daly was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War I, and worked in the office of Hackley Hospital, prior to retirement.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, James, of Muskegon and Ralph, of Petoskey; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Finneran, of Muskegon and Mrs. David Smith, of New Buffalo; two brothers, Charles Daly, of Calif, and Ralph, of Petoskey; a sister, Mrs. Willard Hoos, of Muskegon and 16 grandchildren.
