Frederick L. Chudobba was born in November 1852 in Reisenberg, West Preussen, Germany.
His parents are Jakob Chudobba and Louise Muller.
His siblings are Christian and Johann Adolph Chudobba.
Fritz married Wilhelmina.
They immigrated to the US and bought land outside Harbor Springs, Emmet, Michigan and had what became known as the Catob Farm on Catob Road. Fritz helped build the railway from Petoskey to Mackinac City. They Americanized their last name to Catob so their neighbors could pronounce it.
Fritz died 1 April 1933 in Emmet Co., Michigan and is buried in the Lakeview Cemetery in Harbor Springs.
