Rites Saturday
Services for George Zumbaugh, 81, who died Wednesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Gillian-Erwin Funeral Chapel, Harbor Springs. Rev. Philip Brown of United Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mr. Zumbaugh was born January 25, 1891 in Indiana and came to Harbor Springs area at the age of 15. He has resided here ever since.
He was married to Bertha Robinson in 1918, and she preceded him in death in 1927.
Mr. Zumbaugh was a carpenter in the Harbor Springs area. He was a World War I veteran, and a 50 year member of American Legion Post 281 of Harbor Springs.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mable) Stanley of Effington, Illinois, 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
