Petoskey News-Review, Friday, February 26, 1965:
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Erwin Funeral Parlors for Harry Zumbaugh,70, who died unexpectedly last night at his home on Pine-st. following a heart attack. Interment will be in Lakeview cemetery.
He was born in Plymouth, Indiana on August 22, 1894 and came to Harbor Springs as a young man. He was married to Mary McCarty on May 6, 1917 and she preceded him in death several years ago.
He was a veteran of World War I and had been a member of the Smith-Hoover American Legion Post for over 42 years, and held many offies in the post during that time. For the past 30 years, he had been a painting contractor.
Surviving are a son, Robert of Harbor Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Mary Jane) Sobleski of Petoskey; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, George of Harbor Springs; one sister, Mrs. James (Maggie) Holmes of North Liberty, Indiana.
Friends may call Sunday evening from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Erwin Funeral Parlors.
