part of a news headline from Petoskey News Review, Friday, October, 29, 1982 ... Funeral services for Mr. Lease will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey. Rev. Dale McAlvey will officiate and burial will be in Littlefield Township Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday evening.

Mr. Lease was born Aug. 8, 1896 in Davis, S.D. He attended Davis schools and on Feb. 9, 1921 was married to the former Elfreda Larson. The couple moved to Alanson area in 1927 and Mrs. Lease preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 1970.

Mr. Lease was a member of the Burt Lake Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Glenn Lease of Dublin, Ohio and Lloyd Lease of Warren; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Arlayne) Froysaa of Boyne City and Mrs. Norman (Beverly) Clark of Oden; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Jensen of Sioux Falls, S. D., Mrs. Gottlieb (Irene) Buckhorn of Brutus and Mrs. Raymond (Peggy) Reid of Deming, N.M.
