Dies in Hospital
John H. Higgins, 73, 5505 Hammond Ave., died Sunday at a local hospital.
He was born July 28, 1890 in Superior and had been a lifelong resident.
He was a veteran of World War I, a retired fireman and custodian of the federal post office building.
He retired from this post eight years ago after 30 years at this job.
He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gertie; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Jean) Peterson, Superior: two sons, John R., Sta.B. and Roger, Superior; two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Smith, Solon Springs; Mrs. Susanna Johnstad, Port Angeles, Wash., one brother, Richard, Foxboro; ten grandchildren.
