John Zmikly Rites Tuesday

Services for John Zmikly, 64, of Pellston, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, Larks Lake. Rev. Father Eusebius Brezovsky, OFM, will officiate and interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight (Monday) at the Gillian-Erwin Funeral Chapel, in Harbor Springs, where friends may call.

Mr. Zmikly was dead on arrival at Little Traverse Hospital April 18.

He was born April 12, 1911 in Chicago, Ill. and had moved to Pellston as a young boy. He was a farmer all his life in the Pellston area and also was a mason by trade.

On May 25, 1940 he married Helen Slifka, at Larks Lake.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Edward, of Pellston; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Patricia) Mallory, of Pellston; six grandchildren; four brothers, Stanley, of Chicago, Joseph and Louis, of Detroit and Walter, of Midland; and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Galubenski, of Larks Lake and Mrs. Stella Wrona and Mrs. Wanda Swiss, both of Cross Village.
