Mr. Leland W. Melching Jr.

Mr. Leland W. Melching Jr. 10515 East OP Ave., Kalamazoo, passed away December 25, 1971 at Borgess Hospital.

Born May 4, 1926 in Kalamazoo, son of Leland W. and Hazel May Miller Melching, Sr.

He was Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy until his retirement. He was a member of the Carpenters Union of Kalamazoo.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth D. Mather Melching, one son Leland W. III, San Jose, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Linda) Cole and Mrs. Michael (Jacklyn) Perry, also of San Jose, Calif. five grandchildren, mother Mrs. Hazel Melching of Vicksburg, two brothers, Carl of Vicksburg and Robert of Hopkins, three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Louise) Krizanic of Portage, Mrs. James (Norma) Ellwood of El Monte, Calif., Mrs. Kenneth (Donna) Herrington of Augusta, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 30, 1p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Rev. David McShane officiating.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Leland W. Melching Jr. Memorial Fund, Mid-West Oncology Unit, Borgess Hospital.
