Noble DeWitt Rites Saturday

Services for Nobel DeWitt will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Gillian-Erwin Funeral Chapel in Harbor Springs. Rev. David Crowe, of the First Presbyterian Church in Harbor Springs will officiate and interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

He died at Virginia Beach, Virginia on Wednesday.

Mr. DeWitt was born August 27, 1896 in Harbor Springs.

He was a life member of the Petoskey Lodge No. 282 Odd Fellows and the Harbor Springs Masonic Lodge.

A veteran of World War I, he was a retired building contractor.

Survivors include his wife, the former Gulphia Traviss; a son, Lt. Commander Michael T., stationed in Vietnam; one daughter, Mrs. Edward Burt, of Rockford, Mich,; a sister, Mrs. David Garber, of San Diego, Calif. and six grandchildren.
