Majeska M. Kritcher, 88

Mejeska M. Kritcher, 88, long-time Oden resident, died May 19, 1987, at the Emmet County Medical Care Facility.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at the Oden Community Church. The Rev. David Crumbaugh will officiate.

Mrs. Kritcher was born March 27, 1899, in Oden, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Woodruff. She attended school in Petoskey and graduated from Petoskey Highs School. She then attended nursing school in Lansing and was employed at Little Traverse Hospital in Petoskey for several years.

She married William Kritcher on Nov. 19, 1951, in Grand Rapids. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1984.

Mr. and Mrs. Kritcher had owned and operated Kritcher Cabins on Crooked Lake for many years.

Mrs. Kritcher was a member of the Oden Women's Club and attended Oden Community Church.

She is survived by: one son, E. Thomas Niles of Alanson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to the Oden Community Church.

Arrangements were handled by the Stone Funeral Home, Petoskey. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
