Petoskey News-Review, Tuesday, April 28, 1970:
Pater P. Wiklanski, 49, was pronounced dead on arrival at Little Traverse Hospital yesterday of an apparent heart attack. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Childhood Church. Rev. Father Elston Coghill will officiate and interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
He was born June 29, 1920 at Larks Lake and attended Harbor Springs schools. He served with the United States Air Force in World War II and was a member of the Holy Childhood Church. He had been employed by Penn Dixie Cement Corp.
On November 15, 1947 he married Minnie Rosebohm in Harbor Springs.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Roger, in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Polk, La., a daughter, Harriett, at home, four brothers, Walter and Joseph, of Chicago, Ill., Stanley, of Bay Shore and Frank, of Larks Lake and three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Wrona, of Cross Village, Mrs. Josephine Warrick, of Petoskey and Mrs. Jennie Bodzick, of Larks Lake.
The rosary service will be held at Gillian-Erwin Funeral Chapel at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may begin to call at the chapel tonight.
