Petoskey News-Review, Tuesday, June 1, 1982:

Peter Raumer

Funeral services for Peter Raumer, 87 of Petoskey, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home. Rev. Joseph H. Evans will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Raumer died May 30 at the Michigan Veterans Facility in Grand Rapids.

He was born March 22, 1895 in Center Township, Emmet County and attended area schools. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army in France.

On May 26, 1921, he married the former Ida Newman in the Muskegon area. The couple made their home in the Pleasantview area where they owned and operated their own farm. Mrs. Raumer preceded him in death.

Mr. Raumer had been a patient at the Michigan Veterans Facility in Grand Rapids for the past four years.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Peggy) Petrowski of Petoskey; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lyle (Nora) Beane of Bremen, Ind.

Friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home.
