He spent many fun-filled days with his step-brothers and sisters: Eisey May, Melvin Earl, Myrtle Sina, Charles Adelbert, Sylvia Pauline and Clifford Leroy Howse. These went by the last name Howse while Raymond kept the House spelling.

He married Lillith Eva Curd on 24 July 1919 in Harbor Springs, Emmet, Michigan.

They had seven children: Ruth, Phyllis Marie, Earl Leroy, Alvin Duane, Irene Marilyn, David who died as an infant, Daniel also died as an infant.

Raymond married Audrey as his second wife. Audrey died 11 October 1963 in Cadillac, Antrim, Michigan.

Raymond was a Minister in the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He performed the wedding for his half-brother Mel when he married Louise.

Raymond Leslie House died 25 June 1985 in Battle Creek, Calhoun, Michigan.

Raymond is buried at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, Ingham, Michigan
