Ted Cosens Rites Today

Services for Ted R. Cosens, 73, who died Friday at Lockwood-MacDonald Hospital were held this morning. The Requiem Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church and interment was held in St. Francis Cemetery.

Mr. Cosens was born June 19, 1896 in Harbor Springs. He was employed at the Wequetonsing Golf Club for 20 years. Then he moved to Petoskey in 1942 and spent 20 years with Michigan Bakeries as custodian. He retired from the bakeries in 1966.

Mr. Cosens married Jestine Devall September 28, 1926 in Harbor Springs.

He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church, Holy Name Society and was a veteran of World War I.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mary, of Harbor Springs, Mrs. James (Arlene) Brokaw, of Ann Arbor and Elaine, of Lansing; three sons, John of Petoskey, Verne, of Chicago, Ill. and Francis, of Warren; two brothers, Lee and Dewey, of Harbor Springs; a sister, Mabel, of Harbor Springs and 11 grandchildren.
