MR. AND MRS. THOMAS O. WOODRUFF

An open house reception at their Oden home on Sunday will fete the 60th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas O. The former Georgia M. Hart and Mr. Woodruff were married in Petoskey on July 23, 1902 by the late Rev. George Weaver. With the exception of a year and a half at Mt. Clemens and four years at Detroit, the Woodruffs have lived their entire married life at Oden. Both enjoy excellent health.

Mr. Woodruff, 81 and Mrs. Woodruff, 77 are ardent fishermen, take daily rides around Northern Michigan spotting deer and other game.

The couple has six sons, Gerald of Detroit, Thomas G. of Lansing, Henry and George of Oden, William of Detroit and Wesley of Wayne (their two daughters, Mrs. Bert (Cleo) Tripp and Mrs. Lawrence (Madeline) Dittmar and a son, Gilbert, are deceased).

They have 29 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. During World War II six of the Woodruffs sons served simultaneously in the armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff will be pleased to greet friends and relatives at the reception on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
