Welcome to the Biographical Wiki! Thank you so much for adding your family information. It looks like you've got Wiki editing all under control.

One thing that I would ask, though, please don't create pages for localities. There are plenty of websites for localities already. The Biographical Wiki is a place to remember folks. You can add links to external web pages to illustrate the places people are from, you can even create category pages for "People from xxx", just please don't create pages for localities here.

Please forgive me if I sound too harsh. I just want to make sure that the focus of this wiki remains on people.

Again, welcome! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for the welcome!

When you mean localities, do you mean the links such as "Lawrence, Ohio" etc.?

Thank you so much Steve for finding the record about my great uncle Hoot!

Yes, when I mentioned localities, I was referring to the Lawrence County Ohio links that you'd included. Linking those to other web sites is great and encouraged, but we'd prefer not to have pages in the Biographical Wiki that are just for locations.

Hi! I've used some of your information on another free site, Familypedia. I noticed that some of your work contains lots of HTML. If that's the easiest way for you to add info, OK. But maybe you don't realise how easy MediaWiki can be. Please have a look at Help talk:Editing.
