William Fettig Rites Saturday

William P. Fettig, 70, died yesterday at Little Traverse Hospital shortly after admittance. Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Rev. Father Adolph Thillman, OFM will officiate and interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Mr. Fettig was born in Petoskey on March 17, 1902. He attended St. Francis and Petoskey schools.

He was a life-long Bear Creek Twp. farmer and he retired from the Petoskey Electric Power Co. in 1968 as a lineman.

Mr. Fettig was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, the Home Name Society and the Knights of Columbus.

On November 23, 1926 he married Emma Steffel at St. Francis Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Wayne, of Petoskey, Lyle, of Champaign, Ill. and Kenneth, of East Lansing; five daughters, Mrs. Fred (Arlene) Foltz, Jr. and Shirley Fettig, both of Petoskey, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Fox, of Lansing, Mrs. James (Margaret) Acker, of Traverse City and Mrs. Norman (Emily) Daniel, of Petoskey; 25 grandchildren; three brothers, Leo and Wilbert, both of Petoskey and Paul, of Syracuse, N.Y. and two sisters, Mrs. Warren Locke, of Saginaw and Kathryn Fettig, of Petoskey.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. this evening at the Winchester-Hallead Funeral Home where friends may call.
