Petoskey News-Review, Monday, 12 June 2000:
Esther P. Roe, formerly of Grass Lake and Royal Oak, died June 5, 2000.
Esther was born Feb. 14, 1908, in Harbor Springs, the daughter of Edward and Leotta Powers.
Retiring at the age of 65, she taught school in Royal Oak for 35 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Roe, of Grass Lake, Mich.; and by three nieces.
Graveside service was held at 10 a.m. today, Monday, June 12, at Lakeview Cemetery in Harbor Springs with the Rev. James Mitchum officiating.
